Interesting comments from robertB re (not)acting on info such as the continuous pour nugget on a recent Buzz.

Thanks for the recommendations!
My friend Gary Antosh put me onto a great book (thanks again Gary!) that is a MUST read for goal setting: The Success Principles - How to Get From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Jack Canfield.
This is an awesome read - I started it in January and it is so fantastic, that I've mailed out 4 copies to friends and associates.
Cheers -

Gessshhh..... Gary didn't buy me one, he only told me about it.
I did buy it and is on my summer reading list. And let me tell you, I've got a pile setting here to get through. _________________ Robert

I'm embarrassed... but you know that Gary loves us all equally
The point I was trying to make - very poorly I'm afraid - is to continue the flow of knowledge. Learn, teach, give, pass it on, pass it on...
yikes... glad the coffee is brewing so I can swallow this big foot in my mouth _________________ Andrea Thomson

Since we're talking books... also read the 80/20 Principle. More eye opening ideas.

Very interesting comments on why someone sellig a $167 course SHOULDN'T show examples of his work. AMAZING!
In his last BUZZ, which I keep thinking I should cancel, he stated he has over 35,000 pages online now. Surely he could show his students an example of one site. After all we bought him the Cobra............well you did, I'm only buy gas and maintenance for it............I came in a little later buying his course.
Intersting and really amazing that he thinks so little of his students he can't share one sacrafical site to let us actually see what he is talking about.
On the other hand, if you want expamples of a "guru's" sites, buy the Corey Rudl course. He is not afraid to help his students by exmaple. _________________ Bob |

Bob,
Have you tried contacting James directly with that request? If you have the handbook & Buzz you should have the email address for support. Request that they pass it on to James. And let us know what the response is.
I would be interested in seeing a sample site that would be kept up-to-date for SEO/Keyword density etc. And he could keep his other sites private for obvious commercial & legal reasons.
I'm also the sort of person that needs to see something rather than just reading it. I'm mainly interested in how best to link the articles to product pages - how visitors are gently persuaded to click to the product page, then the merchant link.
Anyway, I'm still building my sites regardless. Simply aiming to earn US$1 per page per day (that's $1.30 in Aussie $!!!) through affiliate programs & Adsense is motivation enough.

Oh the sarcasm. I should try Gary's approach and use tact and kindness. However, Gecko will not let me.
Look, if I ran a big network of sites and got the push by students to open my sites up I would tell them the following first:
Ya know, on this I take a lesson from Gary. Just deleted a dang fine ripping post. I read it. I disciplined myself. We often write to hear ourselves anyway.
I say stay subscribed to outpace your competitors or unsubscribe and move on. To much energy wasted about it. _________________ Gekko Speaks-The spot where my alter ego rants and raps about business and internet strategy. |

Sorry.... some will not like my response.... I often preach to read between the lines.
Look at where you bought the eBook. Have you explored the site? Now you have a site.
It's not always "connect the dots"... sometimes it's here are the dots.... how are they connected?
All the Best,
P.S. --> Jscott ... always good insight or is that onsite! _________________ Gary

It use to be onsite. Easier to have insight as engines should not be worshiped just used for the trash dumps they are.
The quicker we figure out that it is all just noise the better. Then we can go on about life reading the commons and making music, drinking wine, and making merry for tomorrow we die.
Importance is largely over rated and egos are expensive. I opt out.
To which fits nicely in this thread.
I do love business. Then again, it is mainly art for me. An art I make fun of. One big carnival it should be. Knowing how you, Mr. Speed, are a fan of doing away with over analyzing (and where is that line) you know all this already and chuckle silently while drinking salted coffee.
Since I am now 36 hours without sleep I will speak to the lurkers. Just become aware of that being called you. It is an odd creature. Prone to panic and head hanging when the seo does not pan out.
Yet, the mirror still stares back and the enlightment comes when you can stare back at it.
Not at Martell or Reese or the new diet lime coke inventor.
That is when you know you have the right strategy for the net. When big algos sweep your stuff under the rug and you can plug in James Taylor and have that Pina alcohol substance and start building as you did yesterday with a tweak here or there.
You listen to Martell or the others and think, yes, that is so last 6 months ago. Ahead of the game but happy that they are not. Yet, knowing they are but they do not want to put it out there yet for student consumption because they would be crucified on threads if it turned out to be a glitch or a dead idea after publishing.
They know you know and you know they know and there is a silent brother/sister hood.
In the end it is you and your strategy that have to live together. Make sure the marriage works or find one that does. _________________ Gekko Speaks-The spot where my alter ego rants and raps about business and internet strategy. |
