I was just approached in a sort of mechanized way about letting a south african publisher include my articles in an ebook. She says the ebook will be distributed at industry events, sold, etc.
I've never been asked before so I haven't done a lot of quality thinking on that. What do you see as the pros or cons? The obvious question that comes to mind for me is, what other articles would be in there. _________________ - blake

I think it's about time to piggyback on someone else's effort.. just make sure You write your name and website name in BOLD
I personally don't think there are too many cons to this... any kind of exposure is good for your site. besides she's using your article in a ebook. which will make you look like a credible person in your field..
My suggestion is.. Jump on the chance given..

What about guilt by association?
I never contribute to someone else's product without a full list of other contributors in advance - and even then I always insist on the right to deny my piece if I am not completely happy with the pre-release version.
(Only once have I been "tricked" but this was "settled out of court".)
For me, it all comes down to self respect...
Do you have anything really worth saying, or not? If you do, guilt by association comes into it; and if you don't, why are they asking you to contribute?
Cheers,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."
