Hi,
I have 2 sites, one at rentloscabos.com and the other at browse-n-buy--on.mainstreetstores.com, only a short time in operation. I have tried various marketing techniques with mixed results, including "opt-in" e-mail campaigns, per-per-click (google and overture), traffic programs, site submission, etc. One the the companies that I used is www.majon.com.
My question is, given what I'm selling (computer software and vacation rentals in cabo san lucas) what marketing techniques could give the best conversion ratio and the best buy for the $$$. Seems like e-mail campaigns don't work very well. I also plan to redo the sites now that they are working.
Any input appreciated. _________________ ------------------------------

You should track each of marketing techniques that you are using and then see which converts best. _________________ Gerardas Norkus

personally I hate the emails campaign, but if you get a list of emails that actually looking for the exect thing you are selling it could be good for you.
But, the best thing to do is like Gerardas Norkus said - do a research on each campaign and its convert ratio for you. _________________ Dondor,

As far as marketing of your website is concerned, you can easily use any of the following marketing
1. Search Engine Traffic - Your pages and Meta Tags need to be properly optimized to attract free search engine traffic.
2. Pay Per Click Advertising - Do NOT wait for the search engines to spider your site - that could take MONTHS! I use pay-per-click (PPC) advertising to get 50 - 60% of my site traffic, and consider it my first line of defence. The goal is to spend a buck, and make 2, 3, 4 and more in return!
3. Email Marketing - I can't emphasize email marketing as a method of traffic generation strongly enough. Bring your visitors back to your sites time and again by publishing a regular newsletter through your autoresponder service. This is cheap and easy marketing that works like a CHARM.
4. Content on Your Site - Useful and unique information on your site draws free traffic from the search engines and keeps visitors on your site longer... which in itself helps improve your search engine rankings.
5. Article Marketing - Placing your articles on other webmasters' sites gets links back to your site (a.k.a 'backlinks') and is an easy way to get free traffic. It also improves your search engine rankings.
6. Market with Press Releases - Press release distribution is not an option most affiliate marketers even consider, and yet it's a tremedously good source of links and free traffic to your sites.
7. Start a Forum - Discussion forums not only help you 'build community', which provides incentive for people to revisit your site, it's also a great way to increase your search engine rankings as each post looks like a page to an SE.
I am sure these tips will help you to generate quality traffic towards your website. In case you are not comfortable with any of the above techniques you can hire an expert marketing firm. _________________ David Greg
Really interesting insight into various marketing channels available online.
Meanwhile E-Marketing marketing is loosing its popularity due to several new "spam mail" measures followed by hosting companies. These website hosting companies are blocking accounts of those internet marketing & email marketing firms which send out around 1 million emails/week
