recently i built a website and put adsense into it. i really struggled to complete this website , but my dreams were fuelled mainly by Ken Evoy and Allan, though i never bought SBI , but i've been following them and thier tips through newsletters and forums like these.
It's been 20 days since my site was up and i have been receiving about 100 visitors per day , my adsense results are somewhere in the range of 7- 10 clicks per day. And the ppc is also not huge for my keyword. Now I come to think , is this a normal occurence --will i be getting more visitors , I'am not a pure affiliate, though i'am thinking of selling affiliate products through my site.
I need some suggestion here- does adsense really work? , do i keep adding keyword rich pages for my low adsense paying site and expect decent income and/or promote affiliate products..Now I'am wondering whther I made a major blunder in choosing the topic, which is one of my favorites or should i stop crying and try to enhance the site or just keep mum and resign to my fate?-I rank high in MSN for particular keywords in the top 10 but do i hope it'll improve in other SEs as well; Plz give me ideas ----help this newbie. _________________ A part-time effort to a full-time income |

100 visitors per day after 20 days is great, if they're real visitors that is (not bots or spiders).
There's potential to increase your CTR and add other revenue streams into the mix.
Adsense does work. I've found it works better for niches about consumer goods (electronics, sports equipment, etc.) as advertisers are bidding on these terms. _________________ Robert

The results are really great if you are in top 10 in MSN.
I am not sure what your niche is, but sure AdSense works and you should NOT expect good earning very fast. You must be patient. For now, just keep building your web site. Add new content daily. Build at least 50 pages.
Then, you will want to get other web sites link to you. This is probably the most important step. If you followed SBI and Allans tips, I hope you know that you should ask other webmasters to link to your pages using your keywords in the LINK TEXTS.
Just don't give up too soon. Note that it will take several months (up to one year!) until you will start to enjoy some real results, of couse if you keep working on your website. _________________ Gerardas Norkus

Hi
You should be very pleased with the results you are getting as they are briliant, have you considered Adwords this will have the effect of increasing the traffic to your website which in turn will put up your adsense income at the same time as promoting your product.

Monitize your pages with more than just adsense and go for niches that have higher payouts. Do keyword to payout research first. _________________ Get Paid to Surf the Net Unbelievable but true. here is one thing you could try to get your traffic into overdrive:
go to shoutwire.com and see if there is a category that you can comfortably submit an article into. Then, write the article and make sure that it is sitting on your site. Submit to shoutwire, shout your own article (maybe get a few friends to help out in the beginning too). Then, if you wrote a decent enough article, people will shout it out even more.
Then the traffic comes rolling in... you could have a problem if you have a bandwidth limitation on your hosting account _________________ Welcome to the World of Toys.

It takes time to find the formula to produce steady traffic and clicks = money from adsense.
Don't give up, keep at it |

OK - I tried to download this, even upgraded my adobe. I just get a nasty note that the application cannot run in ms-dos. Now what do I do? _________________ Donna Jo

You are doing great. But you do need to allow a bit of time - 20 days is nothing. As others have said, do find other ways to monetise your sites too, but keep the adsense - it's definitely worth while once you're getting a lot of traffic. Some people don't like it as they say it encourages visitors to leave your site, but they're going to leave at some point anyway, so you may as well get paid for it. _________________ Catherine Lawson's Business Advice Blog |
