My blog is gone and I don't know why. Yes I had affiliate links in it, but I also had at least 15 regualr links too.

This sucks hardcore. I spent a decent amount of my spare time on that crap. Next time I try a blog im going to buy my own damn software so Google cant decide if they like my content or not.

Bastards.

you guys are getting me worried , how in the world can they take out your blog , there must be a reason .

Ive heard rumors that if your blog is flagged many times they delete it which is very stupid because your competition can easily spend the day flagging your blog .

i have 6 blogs ive been working like a madman for months , i cant imagine if they loose or delete my blogs

i would go crazy and flip !!!!!!

It's on their server; unfortunately they can do as they please. Sucks, doesn't it!

All the more reason to use your own paid hosting and paid domain names. If you control it, they can't affect you that much.

If you own the domain and hosting, the worst they can do is cancel your AdSense account, or block you from the SE. They can't really shut you down (unless your doing something illegal).

once your blog ranks well and is well established , its a tough desicion to get your own domain , some people lose all there search engine rankings and apperantly takes a very long time to get back where you were .

best time to transfer your blog from blogger to your own domain is from the very beginning .

i shoulld of thought of this from the start , for me , its a chance i have to take , i cant afford to lose all my traffic .

and besides i really dont find a big advantage of getting your own domain , if they decide to delete your blog you wont be able to post anyways , so whats the point .

if they delete my bolg or blogs well , so be it .

If you own the domain and hosting, nobody buy you can delete your blog. Obviously, your host can shut you down, but that is rare unless your doing something very illegal. Black-hat SEO is generally not illegal according to the web hosts. It would have to be something like warez or illegal mp3 or such.

All is not lost,

Important that you reclaim your blog url as soon as it is deleted by Blogger.

To accomplish this create a new account on Blogger. Step 2 enter the exact url name you had previously on your blog.

Example abc.blogspot.com

"abc" is the name of the blog you would reclaim

This takes some of the pain away from losing a good blog, you will maintain your Google pagerank and Banklinks to it. Which is are the key factors that allowed you to garner traffic to your blog

There are people on the web that search for these deleted blogger blogs with good pagerank so try and reclaim your blog before someone else does.

You can not make your blog on blogspot look spammy, or google might delete it, (if you use blogspot free hosting)

I seen plenty of free host blogger blogs with affiliate links, but the ones that stayed have a lot of content.

Yea it is best to use blogger's software, but your own hosting. If Google delete your account you will still have all the content and search enginge rankings... then you can just go to wordpress, or just open a new account.

The deletion system is somewhat automated... and your competitors can complain enough about your site to trigger a deletion.

I have a couple of blogger sites (brand new, less than a month). I keep copies of all my content, just in case something happens (or to rewrite as a new article later! Razz )

I used to have 8 blogspots with my Blogger account and one fine day, all are gone.

Emailed Blogger, they checked and apologize for the "deletion" and returned 3 of my blogs. The reason why they return 3 (out of Cool blogs is because I only stated the URLs for the 3 blogs - lol, they didn't even bother to check and return all my blogs in my account.

I've recently migrated from Blogger to WordPress. It's simply a much better blogging software to use. Also, it's best to host your blog on your own hosting. You can use the FTP function in Blogger to do that. Even if you remain at blogspot, always do backups.

Yes, Blogger will actually delete your blog for no apparent reason. Many people have switched over to Wordpress and never had a problem with it.

My blog was deleted for no reason at the beginning, and I just wrote them a nice 2 emails asking why and telling them that there was no spam in any of my posts. Luckily I had it hosted on my domain already so I didn't lose any of my previous posts. They had it back up and running within 3-4 days, but some people have had to wait a lot longer than that. They told me they flagged it so that it will not be viewed as a spam blog anymore, and I have not had a problem since.

i emailed google about blog deletions because i was pretty worried about one of my blogs thats bringing me good income and they told me that theres no blogs on blogspot that are deleted for no reason.

most blogs that are deleted are not abiding by their rules , they also told me that any blog can be recovered .

so if you have a blog that was deleted and they do not reinstate it , that means your blog is considered a spam blog , it doesnt mean that it was lost .

their automated software detects spam blogs and sometimes can be wrong however before deleting the blog a human reviews it and white flags it or deletes it .

it has nothing to do with how much affiliate links you have.

Not necessary. I had 2 of my blogs deleted which had lots of original content(built over 2 yrs) and google ads. I emailed them and yet to recieve any reply.

Don't be sure... just start migrating to wordpress slowly..

anyways if you have profitable blogs in blogspot. then you should do these thing.
1. Don't add any obvious aff links in your main template.
2. Don't make your posts spammy(less content, useless content)
3. get others to post comment on your blog.
4. start moving your blogs to wordpress
4. pray that your blog doesn't get deleted Very Happy

you have other options to create blogs too..
like
myspace.com
tblog.com
wordpress.com

but they dn't have much flexibilty as blogger have...
