I've started a blog today about Football World Cup. I am passionate about Football all together, so I've decided to see if this will really work out. So far I havent really made any Adsense money from blogs, but this one looks like a goer. What do you recon?
I even added a translated version for one of the posts in Russian to see if internalization works. I will be monitoring the stats to see which countries the traffic comes from.
The blog URL is in my signature (so that it doesnt violate any forum rules)
Do you have any tips for my blog to succeed?

Many thanks

I got about 50 visitors per day on my soccer blog using the tips from this forum. with adsense conversion of about [Deleted - Moderator]. I hope I am not violating any adsense rules by saying whats above.

The project continues with the backlink strategy.

Most of the blogs are based on adsense or earning money passively, I think viewers are getting a little tired of those, heaps of other niches around.

I saw your blog. Nice thinking craeating it just before the cup!

A question. How do u get that double adsence ads on top of each other?

I use blogger too, and I can't see that option. Do I add the second ad manually with the code below the first?

I saw u had a ton of other blogs. How are they doing so far? Can u share some of your techniques or divert me to posts where this is done?

Thanks.

Hi there
I edited the template myself to get the adsense code where I wanted it. If you want I can give you this template, just email me on my email which is in my profile.

The other blogs are doing ok. Unfortulately I can not mention the numbers, as it would violate Google Adsense policy.

I get most of my traffic by making posts to relevant forums. If you can find a general discussion topic, chances are someone there will be interested in soccer or it might have a sport-soccer section. Thats where you make your post. Just copy the first paragraph or your article and get them to read the rest on your site.

Also making I have a blog on myspace.com (which i ping after every post by yahoo) and I also write there about my articles and get people to come to my main blog.

My next step is to sign up for some bookmaking affiliate programs and place the ads on my blog.

Do you guys recon it will violate the google policy?

Definately not - I use my blogs to promote my ebooks that I have written or promote.

I include some blurb and a picture of the ebook in the "Useful Links" section of the blog.

From time to time add some blurb about the ebook in your blog giving more information about the product.

Cheers
Donna

Cool!

I use forums to get traffic. Just make the right signature and it will drive people to your blog. I post to a few football forums and my signature contains the theory why brazil will win the world cup, which most of the people find intriguing...

Donna I would suggest you use some sort of headline in your signature rather then just URLs.

Which Google policy?

AdSense? If so, I would check out the Programme Policies at https://www.google.com/adsense/policies. In particular

AdSense wrote:
Site may not include:

* Gambling or casino-related content

Whether bookmakers' affiliate ads would count as content I don't know.

I think previous reply from someone assumed that by "bookmaking" you
meant creating ebooks.

I have funny feeling you meant ads for programs from who make books
in the gambling sense Smile

Unless they've changed, Google does not want Adsense on gambling sites.

best,

Rick
