Has anyone tried using blogs as landing pages from PPC campaigns and using PPC to drive traffic to blogs? I have a couple of blogs now which have adsense on them but all the links point to my site.

I'm curious if this works for anyone.

Blogs have gone beyond the traditional pigeonhole people put them in and have become a tool for content management. Many use a blog tool like Wordpress as both a site builder and a content management system. So the answer to your question would have to be yes, as many blogs ARE the site.

Yes, I am using my blog as a landing page in my PPC campaigns, and others are doing it too.

Actually, I started when I saw that Mike Merz was doing it.

It's a great way to put together a site guickly.
Once you get the hang of changing header graphic, colors etc, the sky is the limit on how many you can get up and running.

Content is another thing though... Very Happy

Blogs are a great way to split-test different content landing pages, because a blog is free and quicker to build.

However it will need a decent and proper planning, which takes it time.

By the way, Google AdSense doesn`t accept their ads on PPC advertising.(See the Google rules).

Alot of people where buying pay per click ads for thier blogs and websites with adsense on it. I also saw alot of people being baned.

Some pay per click sites used traffic exchanges and other ways to get traffic that google does not allow. You also have to watch out that your site is not listed on any paid for action site like paid email or others.

Alot of sites use the ads from other ppc companies to make money. If you advertise on them google sees clicks from paid sites your baned.

SO long as your keywords for your PPC campaigns are searched for in your niche, you would get targetted results. We also hace clients using their blogs as their landing page and they seem to have continued on with it Wink
