Hi guys!

I'm presently building my website which is hosted at GoDaddy. Because of the restrictions in the edtions, I had to build it somewhere else and have it hosted for free for a while. Thinking that I could copy all html codes from where it is hosted for free and then paste to the template I've chosen t Godaddy would solve everything. But I was wrong. Everything was copied except my marquee -- a moving scroll of my hot picks on shoes.

Why is this so? Is marquee applicable to some but not all? Please help me guys.

Thanks.

epithet,

marquee is rather outdated and not well supported across browsers. IE used to be the only browser that supported it, but although Netscape and Mozilla now do, it is still not part of standards and it is not recommended to use.

Have you tried something in javascript?

Oh no! Is that so? Crying or Very sad

Haven't tried javascript yet. But will I get similar yet more acceptable and stable results if I use this javascript?

Thanks for the info.

The only drawback to JS is that what is in it is not read by the SE's. If it's only for looks, then you should have excellend results!

No problem with SEs actually.. All I want to have with the use of marquee is for the top picks of my sites to be presented in an artistic manner. Will this aim be met with the use of JS?

I see...Any perks that might come out when using JS?

By the way is any one familiar with SIMULATED MARQUEE? Just heard of this somewhere...

Hmmm the thread is really helpful jodiR. Since I will only use JS instead of marquee for some graphical representations I think my cae is settled now.

Thanks guys.
