Perhaps its got to do with his hosting. Customers dont like slow sites. If it continues, it can affect the site.

It looked as though it loaded fairly fast for me, in New Zealand. The first part of the page loaded very fast.
I tested the loading time with the free sample tool at NetMechanic.com. It was 29.4 seconds, which seems a bit slow to me.
The testing tool stopped testing links at 95 links! There must be a LOT of links on the main page.

Hi Andyz,
Your friend?s homepage loaded very fast for me too, although I have seen the site before, probably on the SBI forums, so it may be ?cached? or something on my computer? (I?m not technical!)
What I like about SBI sites is that text loads almost immediately, given the visitor something to read, even if graphics/images are still loading.

Today it loaded also very fast for me, maybe because I have it in the cache now, but yesterday not, though it was not the first time.
The text loads fast, yes, and then the graphic buttons on the left side loads one after another, that takes several seconds. I thought it would put some imaptient visitors off, or because it looks like unprofessional, when one can see it load so slow.
Maybe it is normal with so many buttons?
Anyway text liks would be better.

It loaded fine for me as well. I did notice on his "What's New" page, the sign up for newsletter box is wider than on the other pages and covers up a little too much of top of the page.
