Hello everyone. This is my 1st attempt at internet marketing. Mind you I dont know much about html, meta tags, keywords, email list's, PPC or Adsense and I dont have any copywriting experience. Although, I have read countless articles and ebooks in addition to reading a slew of informative post's here @AP. So I figure that the best way to learn is to dive right in and get the ball rolling.

In doing so I started my 1st blog with the intent of it being a "REVIEW SITE" that has a certain theme to it. Its called "The Don't Rob Me Report." I want it to cater to those that felt like they were being robbed by so called "experts and gurus." The blog has a theme that I think could go over well with readers. I want the reader to feel like Im looking out after their best interest rather that just trying to "push product."

As of now I only have 2 posts. An Intro post and a product review of a scam artist. So obviously i didnt recommend his program. My next post will be on a product that I will recommend and have an affiliate link to as well. I will submit different article variations of the post to all the prominent article databases with backlinks to my blog and the product itself.

I would really appreciate if you would give me some constructive criticism on my blog like if its "too gimmicky" and advice that would help me accelerate the learning curve to ultimately get more traffic.

Oh, and I used google webmaster tools to what i thought was "index" the site in order for it to be picked up by the search engines. However, since the blogs inception on 03/01 it still doesnt show in google. Also, Im having a bit of trouble with the adsense advertising sites that dont pertain to my site. Someone mind explaining how to optimize that for me, I would really appreciate it.

Lastly, I want to say how excited I am to become a member of this community and I that I cant wait to share my success stories with everyone here

Cheers

Hi Dynamic, As you're obviously aware, because you've chosen a fiercely competitive niche, you're going to have to work REALLY hard to stand out from the crowd. I think you've made a strong start, but I'm sure if it's strong enough.

I think your first "review" is written in a strong voice, but it's shame that you're writing about products you haven't read and haven't used. That weakens your case.

Worse, though, is the fact that you call someone a "crook and a thief" when he hasn't actually been convicted of any crime. In most, if not all, parts of the world, that's plain, old-fashioned libel. If you're going to be strongly outspoken, I think you'll need to study libel laws carefully.

Whether it's legal or not, it's just downright unfair to decide that someone is a crook simply because he's been merely CHARGED with a crime.

I found the text on top of the graphic a bit difficult to read. Perhaps using bold font would make it clearer.

I found your About Me page a bit weak. If you're going to develop a strong online persona, I think you need to build up the character a bit more. Tell us more about yourself, maybe how you've been ripped off by scams.

The AdSense ads I saw looked well targeted. We have an AdSense section where you can discuss that if you wish. To help with targeting, stick to one topic per page.

Over all, I didn't see anything that made me want to bookmark the blog or sign up for the RSS. That's your challenge.

I suggest you buy your own domain name and get your own web hosting, with decent traffic stats. If you're serious about this, you'll need you know where your traffic is coming from and what keywords people are typing into search engines to find you - stuff like that.

I appreciate the honest feedback Allen. I will definitely make ongoing modification and calibrate things in order to maximize its appeal. The reason I sound so opinionated is because this gentleman does have a very unscrupulous past which is well documented & based upon that I leaned in to him a little harder.

But I will definitely take heed to your advice. Thanks a bunch
