| I've recently decided to give affiliate marketing a shot. I'm no stranger to making money online, as I've made a decent amount online working as a freelance writer. However, I'd like to supplement this income and being a web developer with experience building web sites, affiliate marketing seems right. I have a very good golf-related domain name and would like to use it to market a golf-related affiliate product. Problem is, I don't know where to start with it. My site is not built (all it has is a simple page that just says under-construction), and I'm not sure where to go with it. I've thought about installing WordPress on it, since this would get the site listed quickly with Google, and then making posts and plugging the product(s). But I'm not sure if this is the best route to go--what do you think?. Also, I don't know what affiliate program to use. I signed up for Clickbank, but don't know if that's the best way to go. Any advice? |

Wordpress would be easy and fast way to go. Try commission junction and maybe use affiliate programs for golf and ebay this way you have ebay ads for golf shown on site also.

OK, there are actually MANY types of money making "styles" through affiliate marketing. All you have to do is pick one that's best for you and your condition and stay FOCUS.
Nevertheless, I know how confused you are about where to start. Why don't you PM me and I could give you some clues...

I agree that blogging with WordPress is a must. Affiliate marketing is great when you do it right and blogging helps with that.
Plus I want to throw in that this is the site for affiliate marketing training. This forum along with Allan's newsletter, article archive, knowledge base and so on, really is all you need to learn how to do affiliate marketing the right way.

Yes, Blogging is the best way to start a business on the Internet.
But I also have heard a lot of marketers WordPress Blog has been suspended because of the affiliate links on their blogs.
So it is better to use splash pages on WordPress Blog.

Clickbank is also a good program to start with, as long as you know the strategy to go along with it.

I think you should make a squeeze page and give away a free report....perhaps on how to improve your golf game.
capture email addresses.....marketing to your list is the quickest way to make money ....
just keep driving traffic to your page and the money will come....

I've heard so much about whether to use Clickbank, PayPay, or some others. What would you guys say are the pros and cons?
