Can someone explain to me what is a good "Niche Market"? How do you define a good "Niche Market"?
I am a regular guy with a lot of interest in Golf, but there is no affiliate programs on this topic. How do I find out if this is a good niche market. Because I think the problem is that like myself many newbies heard that people are making good money on the Internet but it is flooded with people claiming that they now the secret.
Please help me out here. _________________ The HOTTEST product that hit the internet in 2008. GUARANTEED. To view more of amazing opportunity click on the link below. You WILL be blown away!!!

A niche market is anything within a larger target market. Golf could be the target niche, but a niche market within the "Golf Niche" would be Ping Golf Bags
As for affiliate programs in the Golf niche, here's a Google search I did: Golf Affiliate Programs. There's tons.
One good way to get started easily is to start a blog and write specifically about your niche market. Start marketing your blog within the target market community and become an authority voice within the target market for your niche market. Badda Bing!
There a several ways to good a foothold into a target market, this is one of them. _________________ Free Software builds pages of content over time! - Claim it here

I subscribe to niche a day and get a daily email with a niche idea. Some are: golf, weddings, adoption, teeth whitener, tax attorney, bankruptcy, etc. You can take those subjects and break them down and find a niche. _________________ 100% Natural and Organic Diet

And keep on the lookout in your everyday life for these sorts of things. What do people have an absolute need for. Check out all the niche magazines at your local bookstore. If they're writing about it someone needs it!

A good niche is one where people are already spending money. Once you find that then broad theme try to narrow products to promote.
For example, golf is a very broad niche. You can find many golf products to promote Clickbank.com. A more narrow theme might be how to become a better putter, how to improve your golf game playing two times a week.
If you're going to build an authority site then you will use a broader theme and golf itself might be your site. Otherwise go for shorter mini sites and zero in on a specific niche within the broad theme. There are almost always affiliate products to promote or you might even consider creating one of your own. _________________ Jeff Schuman

Great advices everyone. I am sure that the OP is taking notes of what have already been suggested.
Another thing to consider in putting up a site or blog is to focus on what value you could actually offer that your competition lacks. These could be useful tips in golf, links to other good resources on the topic, etc. A good way to do this is to visit some competitor's site and go about their pages. _________________ PR4 Link Directory

If golf is your passion stick to that. But if its not, you can find your niche in your passion. Then from there you can narrow it down to smaller niches within your overall niche.
When its your passion its so much easier to feel good as you move along. You are able to attract the things you need to be successful so much easier. Its not work, as in an 8hr job. It becomes fun, especially when the money starts flowing. _________________ Paul Brady

It's all about demand and supply. A good niche market has decent demand - people searching for topic... but you will find that it has low supply (or relatively low supply -competing sites). You can use a good keyword tool to identify profitable niche markets to target. Some good keyword tools I use are 'Wordtracker' and 'Brainstorm It' by Sitesell. I use both of these with fantastic re$ults. I'd be more than happy to further direct to & with these services if you'd like me to. _________________ *Forum Marketing SuperTips

Finding a good niche market is vitally important. You don’t want to target a niche market that has too much competition and yet, you don’t want to target a niche market that doesn’t have enough buyers.
The first thing that you need to figure out is if you’re going to money. You can target the golf market, but before diving head first do your home work and find out as much as you can about your market. There are a lot of steps you need to take. One thing you must first understand is that the process cannot be rushed.

I'm not afraid of competitors either. As you may know most of them do things wrong. And it's a good news for everyone serious about building a home business on strong basis in any niche.
