Hello again all,

Just got back from a vacation and found out that a forum. I had been posting to and getting a bit of traffic from, as a matter of fact my only traffic from, until I get up in rankings with Google, has deleted my sig file from their site.

They said that they don't allow sig files to send folks to selling sites, but they let me stay in the forum since I am adding good quality info to the site.

So the question does anyone have any ideas on still driving traffic from a forum like that, or should I just concentrate on getting better rankings in Google? Right now I'm #68 for my main keyword phrase at Google.

Thanks for any ideas,

DebtFreeMe

Create a pre-sell page on your blog or website and put that link in your forum sig file. They shaould have no problem with that as it is a page you host and not an affiliate link. Of course include your affiliate link on your pre-sell page and get traffic to it that way.

Many forums don't allow affiliate links or spammy signature files.

Here is what you can do to start marketing effectively on forums:

1. Create a neat signature file promoting your website. It is best to get your own domain (preferably a dot com name), so moderators don't think your link is an affiliate link or a malicious link.

2. Post solid stuff on the forums. Don't post one-liners or blatant advertising just to get more exposure. It doesn't work, and you may get banned or have your signature file removed. Post helpful replies in threads and start compelling new threads to illicit more views for your signature file.

3. Be sensible in your posting. Post often, but not too often if you don't want to be seen as a forum spammer. Build a reputation in forums as an information provider and others will reciprocate by taking a look at your offers.
