I have all pages of my web site indexed by Google but none of the pages is showing up in search results for Google for my keywords.

the same pages are showing up in Yahoo and MSN. the site has been around for about 5 years now. What should I do for Google to have a look at the pages again, i have optimized them recently.

Can any of you guys help with some ideas?

Thanks for your courtesy

make google know your website by
submitting your site url to google
create sitemap to your site and go to google webmaster tools and add that site map to google
and start create weighted backlinks from high pagerank sites

thanks

You need to figure out what Google wants and feed it. It's that simple.

Yahoo and MSN are not nearly as advanced in filtering out less relevant sites.

I am today looking at some top ranking sites... in Yahoo. Specifically their pagerank in Google.

Why does a site that has a PR of 3 with a maxium incoming link PR of 5 on one site, outrank a site tha that has incoming links with a PR of 7 and 6?

The answer is because Google is looking at a whole lot more than PR value when they assign ranking and Yahoo is not looking at the factors that determine PR either.

To get really good at ranking you have to figure out why your competition is outranking you.

And that is not an easy task.

The sites that rank well in all 3 plus ASK have similarities. They are generally tightly niched, respected brands, and have diversified links.

But there is more to it than that... but anyways good luck.

If there were a simple answer to your question everyone could just make simple changes and rank right? But then how would you sort it all out?

The key for the smaller business online is the same as offline... WORD OF MOUTH. Do something great and people will talk about it and share.

For a site that is 5 years old I would not submit it to Google manually - you will look desperate.

Instead, I would create some new unique and fresh content that is highly relevant to the topic - do 20 or so articles and then start building links to these 20 new pages.

Also, update your home page and make sure you have a good linking structure - Wordpress would be great for that. Important: have a sitemap that's easy to find - place in your footer.

Then, build 100 links to your home page. You'll be fine after that.

Deep linking and creating a sitemap helps your sub-pages get index.

Links!
Links!
Links!

And every link should have your keywords as the text.

The page with the most best links wins.

Do you have very much fresh content or is it all old? Google seems to favor "living" websites that are constantly adding new new content.
