Hey everyone!
I've been working for online businesses for the past couple of years. As such, I've done my share of researching online in different forums. I always saw merchants complaining about chargebacks and fraud. (still do)
I am now the Director of Business Development for a brand new company, preCharge. We specialize in identifying fraud and reducing chargebacks online for small merchants.
I am in charge of our affiliate program, so I have decided to join the forum and try to learn more about advertising and promoting.
I'd also love to get you guys interested in joining, too, so feedback of any sort would be great.
This is my first ever post, hope I didn't mess up.

Hi Howard,
Chargebacks do suck, especially it's for say a $10 ebook and the
person could have just as easily asked for a refund. I've moderated
at several discussion forums, and use to jump all over posters
who advised dissatisfied posters to do a chargeback (when they often
hadn't even told the merchant that they were not happy with the
purchase.
They didn't seem to realize that that $10 ebook cost the merchant
the $10 refund, plus a $25 chargeback fee, plus other fees and it
impacted his rating with the merchant account provider.
Buying with a credit card gives the consumer some great and necessary
protection. However, consumers, and especially online marketers need
to think of the full imlications of their actions.
