Hey gang, my name is Charlie from Minneapolis. I've been in the affiliate game for 11 months now. I kind of stumbled into it last November when some friends of mine and I started play Texas Holdem Poker. I threw up a php-nuke site for the group to have a message board to trash talk about the next game as well as sign up to play.
Well one thing lead to another and joined the amazon affilate program to sell poker books. Then I got involve in the Party Poker Affiliate program and started promoting it with adwords (before they shut off gambling). And before I knew it I was making a few hundred a month and thought I needed to know more!
That's when I found abestweb.com and started following the message boards they have. There's a number of affiliate managers there and I through them I got involved in few other programs (vitamins, art, gifts, etc) and have started 5 more sites. Now I'm the third largest affilate(maybe #2 after this month ) for the vitamin program and doing well in the others I'm in as well.
I'm very excited to find this place! I like abestweb because of all the knowledge there but it's not the most friendly of places for newbies, something I don't feel reading the messages here.
I'm looking forward to reading and participating in the forums here and I'm sure that I will learn a ton and hopefully help a newbie or two along the way. I believe that helping others is the only way to go through life.
