Regarding BrainStorm It, I'm not sure I fully understand what is acceptable or not or even what's possible.... I have 3-4 ideas for an overall subject area for a site. I thought I could use BrainStorm It to brainstorm each subject area and various niches within each before ultimately picking my niche/site. Another thread seemed to imply that I'd need multiple licenses to do this. Is this so? I hope not as I was just about convinced to buy Site Build It after the first of the year. ... Please advise. Thanks.

Yes, that's quite right, you can investigate as many niches as you wish.
BrainStorm It! will show you if your idea has potential or not (and often points you in the direction of a profitable niche that you did not even think of )
Where the confusion about “multiple licenses” has arisen is, I think, is that each site that you create needs a separate subscription.
