The story behind this site is awesome - the dating site actually supports inner city outreach and servant ministry in in cities across the United States each month and the members are encouraged to throw on work clothes and serve together in caring for the needy and sick and often meeting each other in a more "real" environment than the standard first date.
The issue is - how can we improve site design and copy to get people in to: 1. Sign up for the service and 2. Hear the rest of the story
What do you like about the site/page?
What don't you like?
What would you like to see before you would consider joining?
BTW - the affiliate offer is live in Shareasale paying 45-55% or first year revenue.
Hi Wade, the graphics on the site are really neat. The pictures moving in to the middle is "cool" and the message on the right is nice. But having the presentation keep going over and over is a bit much.
And the presentation itself is a bit long - kind of like the ads on TV that are funny but don't sell. I found myself feeling entertained by a nice message but not really knowing what to do next.
Maybe shorten the presentation to 3 pictures - then the last would be the hook - something a little stronger than learn more.
The links on the top and bottom are a little weak as well. The ones on the top are too small, and the preview idea is confusing - am I previewing the site or the service? After you click on preview it talks about a free trial - that is a stronger hook than preview, and is self explanatory.
The ones on the bottom need a stronger hook. Is signing up free? That would be a huge benefit to promote.
For the landing page, you probably have too much copy - and is getting started free ro does it cost? If free, that would be a big benefit to state clearly.
Since dating is such a competitive market, do a lot of research, do some searches and see what the high ranking sites have in common, what terms do they use, what benefits do they offer.
Sorry, I don't mean to be critical, I just think you are really close, and focusing more on stronger wording, more benefits, and being clear (along with doing your research) would get you over the hump.
