I've seen an explosion of web 2.0 products - videos, software, courses blah blah...
Is anyone making money and generating traffic like some of the products are promising?
What are the best *free* resources for web 2.0 products?

It certainly depends on the way that you use it, what results you will get.
If you behave like a marketer, obviously trying to sell something, and posting ads in social bookmarking sites, people will mostly stay away from you or don't care about you.
If you do it the right way, the word will spread about you. THAT'S the main good thing of web2.0, that people will advertise you.
So don't act like a marketer, be an expert, and give great content away for free, be helpful, and people will look at you like a go-to-guy, and THEY will stumble and digg you and so on. _________________ Just COPY the system from Ewen Chia. http://www.AffiliateKickstart.com

Social bookmarking sites are giving me some decent traffic, although not always targeted. _________________ "Helping Entrepreneurs *Make Money* Since 1999"

Web2 certainly can bring in the traffic, of course the quality of that traffic is not always the best and you have to be a little creative to monetize it. |
certainly web 2.0 certainly generating traffic. I've got sign up from digg, and hubpages, they are just huge and enormous traffic... hopes that helps.. _________________ earn cash online | 4 days left to download 500+ free internet marketing software, ebook, graphics and training videos |

I haven't actually gone thoroughly with those stuffs. But what I can say is networking and marketing knowledge can easily be obtained by visiting other peoples' websites or blogs and see the difference. _________________ Film Asia: The Latest Asian Movies Synopsis |

I do agree... Web 2.0 methods really CAN produce some amazing results, as you can see from my post here =>>

I have seen some pretty good results with Digg.
The thing is, you DO have to be creative when it comes to monetizing Web 2.0 traffic because they're not coming to your site to buy ANYTHING.
You have to grab their hand, rub it a little, then gently pull them into things. _________________ Read This... Digg This... $197 For You |

Hi Ryan,
Web 2.0 techniques can really create an explosion of traffic and profits if done correctly.
However, even using some of the techniques on a small scale can create small traffic streams which trickle in on a consistent basis.
For example I have a campaign running through articles and Squidoo and generating only a few sales a month, but more importantly I'm getting around 3 or 4 signups a day, pretty much on autopilot, at zero monetary cost.
There are folks out there who are doing this on much bigger scale.
The biggest problem I have with web2.0 is it's generally quite time-intensive. At the moment I'm in a full-time job so don't have a great deal of time - don't have much cash either to outsource.
Web 2.0 will help you understand more about your target market and the difference between lookers and buyers. When you understand that about your market, techniques like PPC will be more effective also. At the end of the day, I think web 2.0 is the future of the internet, so it's worth exploring further.
Hope this helps,
Dal. _________________ Darren Rodriguez

I do very well getting traffic combining blogging and social bookmarking. I honestly have not been involved in the social networking aspect of Web 2.0 as much as I should just due to a lack of time.
One excellent resource and I would recommend reading is "The Authority Black Book" by Jack Humphrey. You can Google search for it and it's free to download. It's full of all kinds of good ideas and tips on Web 2.0. _________________ Jeff Schuman
