Hi Donna, Jimmy D. Brown has written a book for affiliate managers which includes a really good chapter on how to hire an affiliate manager. The whole section is an interview with Jimmy's affiliate manager, who's really good at her job.
You can Google for it or look for the review on this site. _________________ Allan Gardyne

One good option is Linda Buquet at 5staraffiliateprograms.com. _________________ Allan Gardyne

What does someone usually pay an affiliate manager?
We are thinking of hiring an assistant and training them to be our affiliate manager.
Do they get paid hourly? Percentage of sales?
Any experiences with this?
Thanks

Wages paid vary hugely. According to a survey Shawn Collins did for his 2008 AffStat report, 21% of affiliate managers receive less than 40k (including bonuses and incentives) and 14% receive more than 120k, with salaries fairly evenly distributed between those two marks.
55% of affiliate managers surveyed received bonuses and incentives.
I think it's essential to pay performance bonuses. _________________ Allan Gardyne
