If I have a webpage which has articles on it, and have Affiliate links at the bottom, and i want affiliate links at the bottom.
but how many affiliate links should I include,

Should i include LOADS of affiliate links(5-6) at the bottom, promoting different affiliate programs?
or would you advise just putting the link to ONE affiliate product?

I can either
1) Place One affiliate link to One affiliate program at the bottom of the page

or

2)Place 5 affiliate links, to 5 different affiliate links (from clickbank)

Having 5 Will give more choice, but might look obvious that I am promoting things, do you think?

What works for you, from your website? Do you just have 1 affiliate link on your webpages? or many (2-3-4) affiliate links on your pages.

If many, does it get you good sales?

Share your method, and give advise please.

Thanks

Think for a moment about something that is far more important than picking a number of affiliate links to place.

Why would a person want to purchase the product or service? Afterall there must be some reason to "Click the Link".

Does your article offer a persuasive call to action? Is there a reason they need to click on any of the links?

Just surrounding articles with links is not affiliate marketing. You need a call to action. Does one article support 5 calls to action?

If you are just plugging in someone elses articles you would be better served offering a contextual advertising link; where at least you'll get something for your effort.

Make sense?

Everything you do in affiliate marketing is about the CUSTOMER. So step back and ask yourself what it is about the article that would lead a customer to click on one of your affiliate links. When you've done that you'll have your answer.

Sorry about that... 3 postings. That is what happens when you use an old Version of Internet Explorer instead of Firefox... and you get the nice little HANG action...

Or it could have something to do with the information spinning counterclockwise as it leaves the northern hemisphere for the south!

Good points, and i thnk this is my answer

The articles will be on somthing the the reader could be interested in

eg article- Purchasing a property abroad

so will contain information about purchasing an article abroad. This will be followed by a link RELATING to that article

Affiliate link 1
"The guide to buying properties abroad"

Affiliate link 2
"Pitfalls in buying properties abroad"

Affiliate link 3
"information back on sucessfully building a property portfolio"

So the targeted visitor has a change of clicking one of the 3 affiliate links.

and when i said 4-5 affiliate links, there are 4-5 affiliate resources for my page I could include. was just woundering is it better to include 1, or provide 5-6 got the reader.

I think i would only have 3. This way you can review each one and tell people the best parts of each product or service. They can compare them and figure out wich one they want. I think if you put to many on they will not make decision and have to much to think about.

I suggest you stick to one only. One that relates to your specific, quality, original, article.

Think about it. Why would someone interested enough to read your article on 'Home Brewing Beer' want to click on an unrelated link, say 'How to fly to the moon'

I cant say something else after what was said above.
only try not to give the impression that your website is a market place.

Good luck
