I own and operate two sites for fun. If possible I may be able to get a business' to place ad's on my site. Like I said these sites are for fun not profit. I want to get more members though. How do I get my sites to pull in more members with search engines. Are there any tricks you could show an average person to make their site more visible. I have been able to figure out quite a bit from hands on experience as far as operating the sites goes. I thought it might be more than I could handle but sar far so good. Thanks ahead of time for any help you may be able to give.
Thanks again

I'm currently building my first web site from the ground up, so take my advice for what it’s worth.

One good way to increase your traffic is to look at your statistics for the site and find what keywords have gotten people to your site already, then write more content about those keywords.

Another way to get more traffic from the search engines is to look for keywords in your niche that have lots of searches and little competition.

Depending on your niche you may want to look for long tail keywords. For instance instead of trying to target "dress shoes", go for maybe "red evening dress shoes".

A good site to get an idea of the amount of searches per day for your keywords from is tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/index.php

Then go to your favorite search engine and type in the same key word with quotes around it. This will give you an idea of the competition out there for that key word.

Once you find some good ones, then write content around those high demand, low competition key words.

Once the search engines find your new content that should help bring in more traffic.

Good luck,

Hi
First, try to forget the word trick, this refer to cheating search engines which result to a big ban.
you just need to learn the rules of SEO, and how the search engines work. Is not a big deal, it is really easy to learn and understand, you can find free information around there in the articles websites and forums like this.

Good luck
