I need a good source for images that have liberal usage policies. I am interested in images for a wallpaper site, a coloring site and images for ecards.

I prefer to honor copyrights, so I don't want to just use images at random. Many stock photo sites will not allow you to use their images on a downloadable site such as coloring, wallpaper,ecards, etc.

Any ideas on this...or just your favorite sources for images in general?

A few years ago, I purchased two CD's with 10,000 designer photos. The price was reasonable, but the company has since gone out of business.

You might want to check out some place like http://budgetstockphoto.com/products.html or Google terms like stock images or stock photos on CD.

I believe that all photos on the wikipedia.org website are copyright and royalty free.

To upload the images people must agree to give up their rights to them.

In reading the license I didn't see any restrictions on commercial use.

Hope this helps, and read the license yourself before you try and use them.

If I'm wrong on this I hope others correct me, because this is what I'm going to use on my site.

When you do a Google image search and click on a thumbnail, the next page says (right next to the thumbnail on top)...

"Image may be scaled down and subject to copyright."
