Both Blogger.com and WordPress.com. I've seen successful bloggers using any of them.
Try to create one account on each blog and try them out. The one that you like the most is the best. _________________ I help small business owners overcome technology challenges in building their business online.

Probably either...
I have a wordpress.com blog where I link to my website.
This suits me at the moment as I'm trying to build links and traffic to my website and the wordpress blog will get spidered more readily and quickly than if i had my PR0 blog hosted on my own account. _________________ ***Affiliate Contest*** Guaranteed Commissions Until 16th Feb. Don't Delay. |

By far wordpress. I would not recommend blogspot. Becasue you don't own it they can delete the blog anytime they please and you will loss all of your work. _________________ Kenneth Elliott

If you are just starting out why no learn the ropes with a free Blogger.com blog. They are owned by Google which is a plus for getting your posts spidered quickly.
Plus they offer tutorials on the many ways to use the effectively. As you begin to make some money then transfer your blog and personally host it which will give you more control. _________________ Jeff Schuman

This is going to sound very harsh, but it's not.
If you can not afford hosting you are not going to make it as an affiliate marketer. It's realy that simple.
Free is okay to learn and to experiment (I use some free hosts for very specific purposes). You can do things like drive traffic, and test responses to articles etc.
But here is something you really need to consider.
HOW MUCH IS YOUR TIME WORTH?
If you spend 3 hours a day on your FREE Blog/Website for a working week you'll have invested 15 hours. Now if you do that for a month your down 60 hours.
What do you do if the FREE host goes under? You lose 60 hours! Even at $5 an hour you just lost $300!!!
So can you afford not to buy reliable hosting?
If you are not looking at your TIME as your most valuable resource you are missing the boat.
If you can not afford to pay a host then you should probably get a part time job, focus on that until you have saved enough to buy hosting. At least then you'll be able to protect your investment in time. _________________ Earn $10 INSTANTLY for Promoting Affiliate Products

Yep! Harsh but true. I learned this the hard way.
Blunder No.1: I poured years of effort into a free hosted website, which has an URL that is impossible to remember. That's a huge handicap.
Blunder No.2: I poured endless hours into another free hosted site and at the stage when I had just reached 100 visitors a day the ISP that was hosting the site went broke and my site disappeared.
Do you REALLY want to handicap yourself?
If you absolutely HAVE to go the free route, make it a goal to get your own domain name as soon as you possibly can. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Looks like we all pretty much agree on this one. Blogger is probably the easiest to start with, but it soon falls behind, especially Wordpress.
Success is based on certain determination and with some added elbow grease, everybody should also be able to start blogging with Wordpress. Why take a gateway drug when you can immediately have Wordpress?
I'm very much aware of the fact that my Blogspot.com blogs might be gone tomorrow, hence rather sluggish update cycle. I believe that people who want to take the "free road", should follow this roadmap:
1. Choose Wordpress
2. Start free
3. Learn the ropes
4. Monetisate immediately
5. Build content
6. Market
7. Visitors arrive
8. Money into pocket
9. Loop 5-8
10. Use the money and buy domain
11. Use the money and buy hosting
12. Now you have total control over your blog and you can develop your Wordpress where ever you want.
With other blogging platforms you just won't get so far. Now, why I run such a new Blogger blog then? It's a test (but we have backups and our own domain). _________________ http://www.ourdreamplan.com/
