It is basic but has some points I would go so far as to say appear misleading to me.

I think Sean's advice, as well as using the points outlined in this forum for basic optimization strategies would be a better plan to follow. I noticed that Sean was mentioned in the article as well, and his newsletter offers great tips. I agree with the author on that point Smile

I do agree with this: "What stops most people from ranking well in search engines is misinformation." and will add, "lack of information or knowledge."

Atleast trying to find good quality SEO information is a must, and that's the hard part! Best resources I've found are

1. Sean Burns www.webmastersreference.com
2. Ken Evoy's SBi analyzer tool

and last but certainly not least (actually tops in my mind) is

3. Planet Ocean http://www.searchengine-news.com/
