We started displaying Adsense ads Sept. 5. A week ago, the Adsense ads on our site became the same four ads (email marketing ads), instead of reflecting the content of each page. After waiting a few days, I contacted Adsense to find out what was going on. When I contacted Adsense, they sent this response:

"I reviewed your site www.nextlevelnews.com and the ads on each page are relevant to the content of the page. However, I understand you may be concerned that on some of your pages, the ads are not rotating and/or that the ads are slightly irrelevant. The Google AdSense program draws ads from our AdWords program to display on your web pages. Although the number of advertisers in the AdWords program is continually growing, we may currently have only a limited number of ads that are targeted toward the content of your page. This may periodically result in less than the full number of ads being displayed, reduced rotation of ads, mis-targeted ads, or public service ads."

This would be understandable, except for the fact that all our pages had consistently been showing different advertisements, on a variety of topics, until a certain date.

To make things murkier, our adsense ads changed back to reflecting the page content the next day after receiving the above response. Now, no email marketing ads show on the website.

Has anybody else had a similar experience?

One of the most common things that happens in light of the time frame you mentioned in your post is that Advertisers frequently run their ad limit out toward the end of the month and suspend their Adword Ads.

At the beginning of the next month it is quite common to see those suspended ads returned to circulation thereby creating more targeted ads.

I think this is what happened on your site, and what Google was trying to say in their ummm less than direct email. LOL

Hope this helps,
Debs

Thanks, Deb. I briefly thought that might be the case, but being the son of an attorney, quickly moved past to more nefarious possibilities. Laughing

This is great to know. I'll start working my promotions toward the beginning of the month.
