Hello all,
As far as Martells sites are concerned. Is there any reason why you need mutiple product pages?
For example if you wanted to focus on just one keyword becasue it is a well searched and targeted niche. And there is really nothing else that compliments this keyword as far as other products/services.
Can you just have several article pages that just link back to the index page? Since this would be the only product page needed.

The reason of multiple product pages is you can make the products on those page even more targeted to the visitor.
If you're only promoting a single product, then I suppose you'd only need a single product page, in theory, but I'd find it awfully difficult to create a huge content site only on a single product. Surely if the product is worth an entire site around, then there must be other related accessories or products you could put on another product page. _________________ Robert

To be honest there really is no other products that would or could be promoted becasue they do not have affiliate programs. The only other thing I could think of would be books.
The site would not be huge. Maybe 20-30 pages of articles. But based on backwards links this should still put me on the top 2. Also assuming I get some other good links to the site and it is optimized properly.
Hopefully I could get some more content from goarticles.com etc. Possibly boosting it to 50+ pages of content.
I guess its worth a shot just to see how it works out. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Thanks, Matt
Be careful notto get too caught up in "type" of site. Im not sure what a 'martell' style site is pother than tons of short pages. But I think your plan is defintely worth a shot for several reasons:
1) 20 pages is plenty big enough to get ranked
2) You may see a way to branch out as you see what your visitors want.
3) Even with no affiliate programs for related products, write about them anyway to get related traffic. If you have an affiliate program for hammers, but not nails, write about nails anyway - a visitor may decide to get a hammer after getting to your site.
4) Even with only one product, you might be able to get multiple product pages. How about breaking hammers into sledge hammers, balpine, etc. Even different model numbers can be different product pages.
