Hello Everyone:

I'm thinking of putting a shopping basket to my website. My site is 100% affiliate marketing base site. I do not sell anything, rather direct online shoppers to deals, bargains, freebies, cuopons, etc. provided by a wide range of online merchants. It is a One-Stop bargain shopping mall with over 100 retailers.

I would like to give my valued customers (those who purchase through my site) a % of their total sales back as a reward (in a form of a check). In order for me to do that, I need to have my custormers registed to their individual secured account and purchase through that, so that I know the tatal $$$ amount they spend. I'm however not interested in tracking their personal info. (credit card, age, the kind of items they purchase). All I want is the total amount of money they spent and who/where to send the reward check.

I've been searching online for such tool that would enable me to collect those data but no luck so far. I would appreciate if you could recoomend me a site, software, etc. that may be of help.

My site - www.pamsbargainsanddeals.com

Have a wonderful weekend!

Jen

There are a slew of technical challenges that present themselves in attempting to tackle your project. None of these challenges are per se insurmountable.

What you are describing is, in effect, a flexible database powered cookie based tracking system that would exist in harmony with the now-existing affiliate tracking systems that your merchant partners are using and that form the basis of the affiliate links on your website.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no off-the-shelf product available that would effectively solve your problem. I am prepared to stand corrected if in fact such a product exists that would conform to your specifications as now outlined.

Your goal of rewarding your valued customers is a good idea.

Perhaps you would like to explore this a bit more by reading the following in-depth article (if you have not done so already):

I am sorry that this is not the news you were perhaps hoping for, but then again, it could very well open the door to a slightly different way of approaching your ultimate goal.

Laurie, your question should be in a topic by itself. It doesn't relate to the original question asked by Summer.

Start a new topic, and I know you will get some great advice on how to handle the download.
