Hi,
Thanks for the list. I was thinking about starting to write some articles to promote my website. Does it really work? Because it seems very difficult to write an interesting article about ecards, for instance.
Do you write articles to promote your site?
Thanks

Yes, it works, and it can work wonderfully. It's one of the most successful techniques I use.
If you don't find writing articles easy, consider hiring people to write them for you.
Here's a good article by Gary Antosh describing how to hire a web content writer.

Could anyone recommend a good article submission service? I'm have used site submission services in the past for submitting new services to directories (more here: http://pilkster.com/index.php/directory-submission-continued/44) and have been pleased with the results.
Now I need something similar for article submissions. Could be a nice little niche business for someone maybe?
I keep meaning to read up on article announcer, a product that I think Allan recommends/promotes, but I think really I could do with someone who has a copy of article announcer to manage submissions for me.

Hi Bonnie
I had a quick read through the sites you suggest, and yes, it does help! These are the kind of sites I have been looking for, although I must say that the cost of the first three makes article announcer look like it might be good value for me. Number 4 on your list (isnare) looks quite good value. Have you had any experience with them?
Thanks - pilks. |

Pilks,
You will absolutely find ArticleAnnouncer to be a good value for the money - if- and this is a big if... you have time to make your submissions yourself. I charge $400 for a single article submission because it takes about ten hours of labor to do one article. If you have the time you can save a lot of money by using software. ISnare is a good service. I work closely with the owner because I also moderate an article submission newsgroup and he is extremely responsive to questions and follows my guidelines every time.

Hi Edmund
Article marketer looks quite good value at $39.95 for a 3 month subscription. Have you used the service?

Does anyone have any info on isnare.com?
The prices are very reasonable. I'm wondering if there is a reason why they are so cheap. thanks. _________________ Internet Marketing Is Easy! | Inexpensive PLR Articles

Hi guys - I purchased a three-month subscription to articlemarketer.com today. Just in the process of adding some unpublished articles I had lying around on my hard drive. I will be writing about my experiences with article submission in my blog.
Bonnie - can I ask what advantages your manual article submission offers over and above those offered by the services we have been discussing here?
Thanks - pilks. |

Pilks,
Sorry for the delay in answering... I've been swamped with submissions. The primary difference in my service is that I submit not only to article newsgroups but also to all the article directories, individual sites, blogs, etc. It can take up to ten hours and clients get a detailed report in addition to all the logins/passwords for the directories. I handle all the e-mail confirmations, questions, etc. To sum it up... I act as the publications coordinator and handle everything. All of the other services mentioned in this thread are excellent but they are limited in their scope.

I am a big fan of Article Marketer
For me it comes down to the 80/20 rule
I look on using the software solutions as 80/20 - you get 80% of the effect of full manual submission in just 20% of the time.
Article Marketer I look on as maybe 70/10 as in 70% effect for 10% of the time (or less)
I can write an article in 30 minutes, depending of course on the research required.
I don't want to spend 10 hours submitting it. I don't even want to spend 1 hour submitting it.
Article marketer allows me to spend 5 minutes submitting the article. I don't get perfect results, because I can't rotate the anchor text on those sites that support it, and I can't fiddle with the article contents rotating paragraphs etc.
But it only takes me 5 minutes, and I can use the rest of my time for other things (even if it is only commenting on forums sometimes). But even that can help to grow your business.
I am very sensitive to branding. I want evey artcile I write submitted in my own name. Many of the submission services submit using their own accounts, thus when someone clicks on the Author section of a directory, they have to see my name, and only articles by me.
Fortunately Article Marketer have got that part right. They create accounts on all the directories for you. You do have to manage your subscriptions to list though, by confirming each one, and where possible select not to receive article submissions or just a digest.
The free option is great (and you should see the upsell)
Another major benefit is it is a 2 tier affiliate program with lifetime recurring payments. You can earn almost as much promoting Article Marketer as you can Sitesell, although the second tier isn't quite as strong. _________________ - Forget Dripping - The Content is going to flow! - Content Propulsion Lab
