I just wish Google had a referral program for AdSense so that I
could earn a commission recommending it.
AdSense is going to send shock waves through the ad networks and
the affiliate marketing industry.
Already some webmasters are planning new sites designed
specifically to generate revenue from AdSense.
In March, Google ran a beta test, serving its text-based
AdWords on some large web sites.
It has now extended the offer to small sites. If you follow the
guidelines, small sites can participate and receive a share of
the pay-per-click revenue.
AdSense ads are similar to the AdWords ads you see on the right-
hand side at Google when you do a search there.
It's easy to join, it doesn't cost you anything, and all you have
to do is paste a bit of code into your site.
You don't have to mess around, joining a lot of different
affiliate programs. You don't have to waste time trying to find
advertisers for your site.
You can just concentrate on creating good content, and on getting
found in search engines.
It looks perfect for large, high-traffic information sites and
hobby sites. It also works well with small niche sites -
especially if your pages are optimized for high-priced keywords.
I've done some experimenting with AdSense and the early results
have been startling - much better than I expected.
If you get this right, the results can be much better than you'd
earn from many affiliate programs.
AdSense is going to have a huge impact on the Internet.
I've written an article analyzing this revenue-sharing
opportunity, examining AdSense's advantages and disadvantages.
The article also suggests ways to boost your revenue from
AdSense.
The article is too comprehensive for this newsletter, so I've
published it online.
I've been updating it over the last few days as I learn more.
It's still a work in progress. If you try AdSense, I'd be very
interested in learning what you think of it.

You CAN apply for separate accounts for different web sites.
Google has updated its AdSense FAQ several times. If you have a look, you'll see it now says you can have separate accounts. However, the stats still need to be improved in many ways to be useful. _________________ Allan Gardyne

The FAQ has been updated quite a bit. I just hope that they do not change the terms and start kicking out sites that were acceptable under the original terms. When I signed up they said one account and multiple sites would be OK. I'm using skyscrapers on one site and banners on another. The sites are different in content and technology, so I expected the banners to do worse. Results appear to be that the site with the skyscrapers outperforms the other site at a ratio of 10:1.
Even so, I am happy with the banners as they outperform any other banner service I have used (at least over the last couple of years), including FastClick, DoubleClick (now Max Worldwide), and Affiliate Banners. Of course, I never expected the affiilate banners to do well, they were always filler for unsold inventory. Does anyone know how long time it takes for AdSense to crawl added on sites to put ads on them.
I already have ads on my mane site I signed up on. Now I putted ads on other urls I have, but it only shows free charity ads.
Does google have to approve every url I put ads on, even if I use the same account?
So far my mane site is taking in few $ from AdSense. The click through rate it a little bit lower than many people talk about. But interesting thing is that sales on my affiliate sites have gone up. Maybe a coincident, or maybe goggle ads are lending me credibility (highly needed). We see how it goes in next few days.

I noticed www.drudgereport.com had a horizontal AdSense bar at the top of the page the last time I visited. Considering the number of site visitors he gets, I wouldn't mind receiving his commission check.
I was approved for AdSense and got the ads up on my main website.
I have another website that is about 90% complete and I decided to go ahead and publish the home page only along with the AdSense code to see which ads it would put on the page.
I took all links off the page, it's just one page of about 10 paragraphs of text. The paragraphs are full of key words so I was hoping to see some very relevant ads displayed.
That was almost 12 hours ago and that page still has only charity ads. Any idea why?
