Hi, my site offers free services and free cliparts, I have about 2000 page views daily, with only 0.5% click through rate for my affiliate ads and no sales at all. Is this because of visotors who come to my site for free stuff? They do not plan to buy anything at all? How can I make some money from a site with free stuff?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

If your site offers free stuff, make people give you their name and email in order to receive the free stuff.

Then, since they are now on your list, you can offer them similar products on the backend through followup marketing.

Be sure that when people give you their info, that in your first email, you make them confirm that they requested the free stuff by clicking on a verification link that triggers another email that contains their free stuff.

This prevents people from unscrupulously playing pranks on their friends by requesting stuff to be sent to their friends, but more importantly, creates a double opt-in subscriber for you, showing their seriousness about your free product. You now have a targeted prospect to offer similar items to them.

Be sure to track your campaigns so that you know how much $ you're making per visitor, per subscriber, etc.... and then you will ultimately know how much you can spend on getting traffic to your sites. Obviously you won't be making money on the front end, but after testing and tracking, you will know if you have a winner, or a potential dud.

Finally, just be sure what you're offering is something that you have found through research to be something that there is a demand for.
