This court-ordered notice may affect your legal rights. Please read it carefully. If you purchased online advertising from Google between January 1, 2002 and the present, you are a class member in a class-action lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Miller County, Arkansas. This notice is to inform you of the Court?s certification of a class; the nature of the claims alleged; your right to participate in, or exclude yourself from, the class; a proposed settlement; and how you can claim an award of advertising credits under the settlement. Please read the attached notice.

You can get more information at: "www.clicksettlement.com".

I am trying to figure out if its for real, at another forum the majority of the people thinks its spam. But what make me wonder if it is real are news stories http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06135/689369-96.stm

I like to hear your thoughts

There is a pending lawsuit against Google and a possible settlement reached in the case. The click settlement thing looks like a lawyer looking for work.

It's an actual authentic notice, if you go to the site there are PDF's with information and an FAQ. Google has settled out of court and agreed to pay $90 million dollars for click fraud to those who file the paperwork beginning sometime in June, and out of that $90 million, the lawyers get $30 million for their trouble.

The money you receive, if you are eligible, can be used as credits against future AdWords expenditures, you will not receive cash.

The information may be true, but it was still spam - bulk unsolicited email.

Yes, technically it may have been - but I don't mind that kind of SPAM compared to those OTHER emails we all get, hehe. Laughing

I stumbled across some new info on this.

According to an article by Kevin Ryan here
http://www.imediaconnection.com/content/9746.asp
the emails were sent only to Google advertisers.

There's a follow-up here:
http://www.imediaconnection.com/content/9816.asp

Here's an article explaining why it's a good idea to take action on this click fraud lawsuit:

Yep, it's almost as though Google deliberately did this in a really dumb way so that most people receiving it would think it was spam.
