I had added my blog into my yahoo content and it's working fine. When I try to ping my blog with http://api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping?u=http://metablacktrader.blogspot.com, I got this error msg

"Refresh failed. Feed not found: http://metablacktrader.blogspot.com"

Can someone advise me what went wrong over it?

Thanks

This direct pinging of Yahoo never worked for me. Just use Pingomatic or ipings. They both ping My Yahoo and a lot of other places.

If you added your rss feed to your My Yahoo page, that will also make yahoo pick your feed up.

Hi Lowell
I had added the blog feed to my yahoo page. If I add a website's link in the blog's post , will yahoo index that link?
By the way, are both Pingomatic and ipings same as BlogPinger ?

Thanks
Sorry...I am very new into these area

No they are different services. Pingomatic is down some so use ipings if it is.

As far as indexing goes, that is up to Yahoo. But usually the answer is yes. Best to use keyword anchor text links to do this imo, but I have had this work with sidebar links also.

I use pingoat.com, because pingomatic sems to be too crowded.

I read something that says pingomatic slows sown because every wordpress blog is configured to automatically ping wordpress.

It adds up.
