Yes. For best results use WordPress and read the "Authority Black Book" by Jack Humphrey. Good luck.

The pinging with Wordpress can be a huge problem. I have stumbled over a free tool named "Post Schedule Ping Optimizer". If you search for it, there is explained what problems can occur.

Best to use pingomatic/pingoat.com and do it yourself once you make new post in your blog.
