What are the best, and preferably free, press release sites for distribution. I am writing a release to announce my website's opening and want maximum exposure. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

www.prweb.com and www.prnewswire.com are top press release services. To get maximum exposure, please choose paid option of them. They distribute a press release to hundreds of medias.

If you want low cost of press release distribution, consider www.prfree.com

Best and Free don't go together. You have to spend a lot to get keywords in anchor text. Also bear in mind that the traffic is very brief and the stats on the PR site might only show how many accounts subscribed to that feed, not how many humans read the PR. People have reported both great and unspectacular results with this channel.
