Craigslist...

- is one of 50 top traffic sites, according to Alexa.com
- you can use it to generate free traffic to your site
- if you post proper ads on it, you can get 100 - 500 unique visitors a day
- if you know what is hot for it, you can make any sales

For US, Craigslist is very good for real estate promotion. Everyday hundred thousands of visitors visit Housing category of Craigslist. These are high potential for real estate sellings. A lot of real estate affiliate programs only allow their affiliate program to US affiliate marketers for CPA (Lead). Average CPA is $5-10 (not sale). Not for the outside US.

CJ offers great traffic for free. You however need to master the art of posting there.

If you are a realtor or a person selling a house or owner of a timeshare, etc. then great.

Affilate marketing posts will just get deleted as it voilates their TOS. You'll just be wasting your time.

Saying they get a lot of traffic is great. But it doesn't mean anything.

Google gets a lot of traffic, and so does Yahoo, and MSN, and Myspace and...

I think it might be a typing error. CL....or simply craiglist will be enough.

Allan ! Can we get the information regarding Craiglist? Is it a free service?

Seems like one can make good money from craigslist when you offer a service.

I know have seen posts in the employment section for people promoting like paid to read sites or paid survey sites but they get deleted. I don't really think Craig's list is a place to promote affiliate programs. If you post affiliate links it is spam and not only would be deleted but also would violate the affiliate programs spamming rules. If you are posting your site it would be deleted.

Thanks for that info, I considered if an ebook about getting traffic rom craigslist is worth to buy, but it is too little information in the salesletter.
Maybe it is possible to use it for your business if you do it the right way.

I'm having a problem with CL lately. Every after post CL emails me with the link where I can see my post. But when I try to do Keyword search using the search box at the left side of the site, I can't see my post. The list in my own account, the email sent by CL to me, and the KW search aren't consistent. Please tell me how to deal with this.

CL allows you to get accepted but wont let your post be visible to viewers. I could never understand why craigslist wont allow people to adertise a service that is helpful to its viewers.

Switch IP addresses

Use an IP hider - i have a good one if you want to pm me

use at least 10 different email addresses and different urls

dont use .info urls or they will ban u.

dont sign up for an account just do one at a time , it takes longer but your ads will show up.

dont use sub domains

use "http://www.green.com/red/"
and put the index file in the red.

PostPosted: Fri Nov 30, 2007 3:24 am    Post subject: What's Better? Text ad or image ad Reply with quote

I'm just starting to use Craigslist and was wondering if anyone could tell me from their experience if posting a text ad or image ad is better for getting responses (and also for keeping ads on Craigslist)?

I've heard that if you use a different headline every time, but use the same clickable image ad that you are less likely to get ads deleted

or is it better to use the same text ad but just use different email addressess?

What's your experience been?

Thanks so much for the advice!

Much appreciated
