What is the difference between the two versions of wordpress from a Seo point of view?. The hosted version is at wordpress.com and the version you must install on your own server space is wordpress.org. I believe wordpress.com sets your blog up as a subdomain and I am not completely clear on the SEO implications of this. _________________ SightSeeing in Seville Spain

using wordpress.com, your blog seems to have some advantage on SE spider the content faster compared to hosting your own blog on new domains _________________ http://sunsss.com |

Definitely an SEO advantage and more traffic too with the internal tagging / blogrolling system.
But with Wordpress.com it's difficult to make money because they don't allow many type of advertising programs including Google Adsense. _________________ The Definitive Guide To Using Wordpress for Adsense

You are right, wordpress rules donīt allow Adsense.
Joel Comm, however, suggest using Phil Hordīs plug in to get around this problem. What do you think?.
Are you implying, then, using Blogger rather than Wordpress for monetizing your blog? _________________ SightSeeing in Seville Spain

I think it's a matter of Wordpress.com policy to discourage advertising as they want "pure" bloggers that blog for non-monetary purposes.
If you use a workaround, and they get wind of it, they could just as easily terminate your account. I personally know one affiiate marketer who got her blog deleted for using affiliate links. _________________ The Definitive Guide To Using Wordpress for Adsense

If you host your wordpress page you will have the freedom to do so many more things to your page. Hosting your wordpress page with wordpress will not allow you to change and customize your template. It really is worth the $5 to host your site. _________________ Stop Writing Start Earning!

I agree with getting your own shared hosting and domain. I'm not knocking anything that someone else is doing, but for the minimal cost, why not go with your own hosting ?
It's much more professional. _________________ www.JeffreyNorris.com - General Affiliate Marketing Blog
