I don't know...what if a reseller goes out of business? With a big name host, you should have more security about that.

I've had the experience - twice!

First time, 5 or 6 years ago I was paying about $ 400 a month for a dedicated server. First thing that happened was my site got hacked. They whan asked about their "daily backup" I got a shrug of the shoulders and a "sorry bout that" and that was it. No backup. This was a large, at the time one of the top 10 in the US servers. Within 90 days they were out of business. Just shut down.

Just recently, I was reselling for a guy who was leasing hardware from a server outfit. He was in a bad accident and unable to run his business from his hospital bed. That one died a bit at a time, first no new accounts, then no support of any kind, then no cpanel access, etc. Finally got an email from the serverr farm guy, saying folks had about a day and a half to either pay him direct, or be shut down.

The pay or leave email came on a weekend. To make it worse, it was from a guy in Canada and it was a long weekend in Canada, so many people would be shut down without knowing anything about it. I did get him to extend it a couple of days, but that was it.

I left and found another source for my reseller business. After being stung by both a large and small outfit, I figure it really all comes down to "you pay your money and you take your chances."

I've got a dedicated group of clients, all of mine came with me. And I've made arrangements for the company I'd now dealing with to take over any accounts in case something happens to me. I've found a source that is small enough to know me by name and feel comfortable with them.
