What are some of the good free affiliate directories I can join? I'm promoting an affiliate program for an ebook that has sold well using directtrack. Anyone know of any good free directories where I can get ppl to join my program?

One suggestion I can make is that you don't use a company (or software) to submit to hundreds of affiliate directories for you. I did a case study on that once and found it to be a complete waste of money.

There are many good reasons to buy into an existing 3rd party administered affiliate program. One is exposure to existing base of affiliates another is trust.

If you do not have an existing BRAND name then it's a tough road to find useful affiliates. It's tough to convince anyone but spammers to join up a program that has no history of success.

Yep, there are many free affiliate program directories on the web. Just do a search in google. Also, a 3rd tier tracking system like ShareASale, CJ, etc. to track your affiliate program does help quite a bit as they already have an affiliate base.

Hi, noob here, w/pardons;
WHat is the "Associate" Program???
Can't find it on drop-downs. Where is the directory?
Also I'm new to this so is mentioning one of them by name or URL considered spamming?
So Confusing - it's like we have to talk about it without talking about it! Confused

Thanks! I was looking at one of these when I cam across your post! Went through the same thing with SEO software years ago. I owned a Web Design company doing the FIRST SEO work - there weren't any books back then (I'm OLD!!!) It degenerated into a worthless tool b/c the engines began to block automated subs. In that case there was the software AND a subscription for "rule updates" to keep your/client sites at the top. It became expensive and useless FAST!
Thanks again!

It's that big link at the top in the main nav menu saying "Affiliate Programs Directory". Can't be missed.
